Loida "Bowen" Estrada
Exotic Amer-Asian singing sensation, Loida Lynn "Bowen" Estrada has had a multi-dimensional career of recording, live performing and acting. She released her single, "I Will Always Love You" with "Down Under", locally and in Hawaii. She has performed locally in Las Vegas, Reno and California to name a few and has opened for various venues such as the Pride Festivals and for international filipino recording star Victor Wood. Acting and advertising credits include "Crackers" and "Maxie," to name a few. Loida finished filming the movie, "Ride Out of the Past", and is anxiously awaiting it's release. Even after all her successes, Loida constantly changes and grows as a performer. "I truly believe that if you keep challenging yourself, there is no limit to the good things and success that will follow."

  • The year 2012 is off to a new beginning, with a host of new projects on the horizon for Loida. Along with her guitarist/arranger Mel Oshiro, she has been working on original material for her upcoming CD. Loida gives back to the community in many ways. She owns her own Karaoke/DJ business, which has allowed her to donate her spare time and services to the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer, American Cancer Society, Aids Foundation, Muscular Dystophy, Oktoberfest, the Gay Pride Festival in cities such as Las Vegas and Reno, and serenades patients/residents at care centers with friends and relatives especially during the holidays. Since 1996, week after week, whether it is being a DJ, Singing or hosting Karaoke, she has been entertaining our soldiers and veterans at Nellis Air Force Base. In early 2003, she was dubbed Ms. Hamburger Mary, the Icon for the nationwide chain Hamburger Mary's Restaurant and Bar. YES! A cartoon character with a very similar look to Marilyn Monroe herself! She performed as one of the regular singers with The Boulder City Country Spirit Show in Boulder City, Nevada. A show with a purpose of helping and donating all its proceeds to local Las Vegas/Boulder City charities and non-profit organizations in need. Year after year, Loida entertains for various public and private functions in California and the Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Born in Virginia, raised in the Philippines, Loida is the oldest of seven children. Her plan was to become a psychologist, while studying music and dance. However, that changed and she was detoured to music and charities. The most important and driving force has been her two daughters, Rosalina and Laurena, and now granddaughter Delilah Lynn. "Career problems and stresses fall into perspective when you measure them against the smiles of your children and siblings." Balancing career and motherhood may seem like an enormous challenge, but for Loida it has become a great source of creative and personal satisfaction.
  • "My vision and quest as an artist is to touch the hearts of our children, fulfill their dreams and make this world a better place."
